Tidal Lantern is the first lit journal dedicated to South Carolina's vibrant creative community. Our mission is to elevate Lowcountry voices. We highlight artists, writers, and other creators from Charleston, SC and the surrounding areas.
Submissions are open to residents of Berkeley, Charleston, and Dorchester counties for poetry, prose, photography, artwork, short films, and even code art to feature online and in our inaugural print issue next year.
For most of history, people were concerned mainly with happenings in their own village. Tidal Lantern was born in that spirit--to be the Lowcountry's literary front porch, where neighbors gather to swap stories and share art.
This isn't a lit mag published in Charleston. This is Charleston's literary magazine.
